Memo from the Board – COVID-19

Dear Plantation Park Private Residences Condominium Owners,

We are all concerned with everyone’s health and welfare during this COVID-19 crisis.  We hope that everyone is safe and well.  Your community’s Board Members and staff are working hard to safeguard the future of our community.

This pandemic presents many unique challenges.  One thing that has not changed, is the need for our community to continue to run efficiently and safely.  Although health and financial challenges are facing many of us the Association is still operating; water bills still must be paid, trash must be picked up, landscaping and lighting maintained, and even though it is closed, our pool and amenities must be serviced.   While the office is closed for in-person visits, we are still here to ensure the community continues to run smoothly.   All of this requires that your assessments continue to be paid to cover all the operating costs of the Association.

Your community’s Board of Directors recognizes that many of you, (including many of the Board members themselves), have been the victim of stock market volatility, job losses, job furloughs and other significant financial hardships.  Timely and prudent decision making by your Director’s will help us weather and partially mitigate this crisis.

For those of you experiencing financial issues the Board of Directors, in consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic, have agreed to allow owners to postpone the paying of assessments and will waive all late fees and interest for the period which includes the remainder of April 2020, and the months of May and June 2020. The owner may postpone one, two, or all three months. Please note all assessment balances must be paid in full by July 31, 2020.

Starting August 1, 2020, late fees and interest charges will accrue as normal. Any outstanding balances from all previous months will also have late fees and interest added to the balance, these fees will include the period of time that had been previously waived. To reiterate- you must pay all assessment balances by July 31, 2020.

Those owners who are needing, or anticipate possibly needing to postpone assessments during the months of April, May and/or June MUST contact the office directly either by email at: Manager.plantationpark@gmail.com, or call the office at 407-938-9561, to advise the staff of their intentions to postpone payments and for which of the three months April, May and/or June they anticipate postponing.

Stay safe and please know we are a strong community and together we will navigate this crisis.

Thank you and we wish you and yours the best.

Sincerely,

Your Board of Directors
